Maharaja
Ranjit Singh, one of the greatest rulers of Punjab
(1780-1839), is reverently known as the SHER-E-PUNJAB (LION OF PUNJAB).
He united many independent communities into one of the most advanced societies
of its period. While the great rajah (monarch) traveled great distances
during long campaigns, the royal chefs made the journey too, preparing gourmet
meals along the way…
We
are proud to present specialties from India,
featuring selected delicacies from the rich culinary heritage of Punjab, now in
Northern India. People think of Indian
food as being extremely hot and spicy. However, the subtle blending of
herbs, spices, and seasoning give Indian food its unique character, not the
heat. All of our selections are mildly spiced unless otherwise noted and
we can make any dish mild, medium, hot, and very hot.
We
have tried to describe our dishes in common terms, but if you have any
questions at all, please ask your server or the manager and we will be
delighted to assist you.
To
ensure that you have the best dining experience, each dish is individually
prepared for the greatest freshness and quality. We pay attention to detail
